In the role of IT Analyst – Summer Student, as part of the Technology team, you will assist various technology projects in different stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and support technology assessment initiatives. It’s an excellent job for people who are studying Information Technology Management, or Computer Science.

Placement Details:

There are 2 summer student opportunities for 4 months starting in June 2023.

What you will do:

  • Leverage your business, IT, and Microsoft PowerPoint skills to prepare presentations in line with team requirements based on corporate standard templates
  • Work with IT teams to understand the scope of work and to collaborate with different stakeholders from business to collect and document information about business processes, applications, infrastructures etc…
  • Analyze and present information leveraging your technology/business knowledge and Excel skills
  • Liaise with business and IT stakeholders to gather and document business processes and prepare architecture diagrams using MS Visio.
  • Providing support to teams in Toronto and other offices remotely, as needed.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Engineering, Business, IT or Computer Sciences and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
  • Knowledge of organizational business processes, Design thinking approach, Solution architecture and project management methodologies
  • Knowledge and hands experience in programming language e.g. Python, Java, Java Script and understanding of SAP application
  • Ability to review and synthesize process, application and infrastructure diagrams
  • Comfortable working remotely using MS collaboration tools
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Visio
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect).

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role, located in North York, ON
  • Work can be accomplished remotely (Hybrid work)
